being nationalist is very rare to a person’s personality. i idolize those person having this kind of attributes. since Francis Magalona put up a store for his clothing line, it gives me a reason to look back on what our national heroes done for our country. the master rapper itself is a national hero for me. he has a large contribution to our philippine culture and music industry. he is considered an icon, a legend. Kiko as they call him. the first filipino introduced the rap and hip-hop scene in the philippines. but on that he has been also seen in colaborating with other artists in any different genra.. in the hip-hop industry many idolize him. those people just starting in the rap scene they considered francis m. a godfather, a leader, a hero. at age of 44 considering one of the babyface in both film and music industry. son of famous tandem pacho magalona and tita duran. grown up in the hood of kalentong, mandaluyong city.  started as a break dancer/dj to bagets, being a ninja kid and then some appearances in vic sotto’s comedy movies.  he is a great composer expressing his nationalistic words thru songs writing… here the born man of manila, the master rapper in the music scene. creating a songs based on reality and mixing with nationalistic flavor. “Mga Kababayan” is one of the top hits that Francis M. composed. until he has received the moniker “the king of pinoy rap”. he has also have a band name “Hardware Syndrome” along with the Evil Sisters as his wife Pia as back-up vocals. kiko encountered a lot of ups and down in his life. being accused of using illegal drugs, possession on unlicensed firearms. this are few events that francis already past thru and survive. after all these worse or even bad times for him, he climb up again ang change for a better man. being a father of 8 children, he show his passion for his family. there also a lot of good memories and achievements that he got when he became a change man. he received the award for MTV Generation Awards in recognition for his career in the music industry. he also put-up a clothing line named FrancisM Clothing Co. designed with flavor of being nationalist. at age of 44, last year he announced in public that he’s battling with leukemia. thru this illness he stop on going to his noontime show, Eat Bulaga which he was a regular host. he was treated at Medical City undergoing several chemotherapy sessions. yesterday, i was in shocked when my brother said to me that Francis M. already passed away. all of a sudden i just view his blog site “a Free Mind” in multiply. i usually visit the site for updates on this battle to leukemia. but the worse thing happens, he didn’t survive the transplant of the bone marrow. doctors said that some of this internal organs failed to response as i watch the news late in the evening. i also saw the video capture awhile ago in Medical City, some of his collegues, family friends rushed to the hospital. at that lunch time yesterday, Vic Sotto announced the in Eat Bulaga, before the start of the show that Francis passed away. they offered a minute of silence and a prayer for Kiko. in this event, i fore see that one of the most influencial person in philippine community already achieve his most gratitude award in his life. giving all his contributions to the people around him. in this, we thank you Francis for inspiring people in a different way. showing the love and being a proud filipino. it’s an honor for those people work with you, sharing all the triumph that you’ve have. we are very proud of you Kiko. so long… and we will miss you.. thanks for the good memories… Rest in Peace Master Rapper…

Gas Price: P36 for Unleaded, P34 for Diesel

•November 30, 2008 • Leave a Comment

this morning before going home after work, i usually check the gauge of my gas tank if i have enough gas to reach my place.. since it almost hit the last line near to the bottom, so i need to get in touch with the nearest gasoline station… i usually gas up for P200 pesos and i think nevertheless, 4 liters in P41pesos per liter. suddenly when i was in caltex gasoline station, i’ve noticed the price list displayed that for Unleaded is P36 per liter, while Diesel is at P34 per liter.. i was shocked with the price cut down and asked the gasoline boy if that price list is true… and he replied that they adjust the price last night for more than 5 pesos. holy cow!!! this the lowest gas price since the nation hits the P60 per liter barrier… P3 pesos less for the lowest since 2003 which is P33 per liter… wow…. this gives me a great smile : ) i’m very happy with the result of cutting down the price of gasoline for this month almost have of P60 per liter are already cut down. this is a good news for all the motorists.. but expect more traffic outside the metro at the sametime it’s christmas season.. darn traffic… but this is a great christmas gift for everyone.

side note: i can join now the trackday… and roadtrips again.. got baguio or batangas trip baby? heheheh…

Preview of “The Dream Match” Dela Hoya vs. Pacquiao

•November 30, 2008 • Leave a Comment

I’m not a fan of Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Dela Hoya.. since this is the talk of the town for almost 6 months from now and set to clash on the boxing ring on Dec 6 saturday( sunday in manila ). we will review some tales of the tapes here.. as the days are numbered for the 2 boxing greats, they are really focus on both trainings that they usually do. Dela Hoya almost find himself at the peak of greatness in boxing scene.. he’s giving all for this fight.. likewise Pacquiao do, more sparring trainings, jogging on the road of los angeles… keeping his stature more agressive, more power to give and more speed to gain.. many people says that Dela Hoya is no longer capable of doing the fastpace type of boxing since his last fight was last 2004 gaining the middle weight title, while Pacquiao is currently the holder of the light weight division title against david diaz. more to say manny have the advantage and the most active on the boxing fights. but nothing is impossible in this world.. maybe we could say manny is the most expose, but think again, he will be fight against 6 division titlist oscar dela hoya… he still has the guts to fight in the boxing ring even though he’s that not atcive for the past 4 years.. he’s almost have the edge in height, and reach. maybe you find that i’m favoring for oscar, NO i’m not…. i just telling the truth.. but in manny’s case.. maybe theres a chance of winning against oscar… who knows.. speed and power kills. in this fight will determine the new profound KING of Pound for Pound Boxer. this could be the “The Dream Match for the 2 fighters”…

one new day….

•July 23, 2008 • Leave a Comment

here me again trying to do a new blogsite for myself.. (thanks to juvi in putting me into the world of blogging…. heheheh :P ok! let’s get started. today, juvi and i woked up at around 10am in the morning with plans in our head going again at TP-EDSA where getting her backpay or so could “moolah” where juvi stayed for 4 years… hehehe(such a pioneer.) we arrived at around 11:20am and immediately go to Accounting Office making enough time for the lunch break at least we make it :) then i proceed to HR Office to give some important documents for my Intellicare Renewal. as we go along, juvi will sign another confirmation that she claimed the “goods” and we saw the letter and it displayed the total of the amount of the claims..(this is confidential “goods” should no be announce nor diplay here) claro! ok! let’s continue.. she reacted of a big WOW!!!! and when i looked on to it… and WHALLA…! like introducing in a magic show… then she said to me that she is happy today. we also dropped by at EDSA ground where my Co-MC’s Romee(Dora ang babaeng Galaera) and Kleng celebrates their Bdays at the Office.. i ate some of the food that they bring, chats with everybody, ask if there are issues in the office and threat them that i’m not going to office tonight!!! unfortunately, i’m here at the office working on this blog post. heheheh.. as we partways to my friends because we are heading to the bank letting the check changes to cold cash. juvi and i went to robinson’s bank at the octagon building. i dropped her at the lobby so that we can make faster transaction with the bank. as i parked the car in the basement, juvi tries to call me and to informed me that she needs another ID for documentation purposes but she had only 1ID which is the driver’s license. so we planned to do it tomorrow so we can have other documents needed. as we head to the elevator, juvi suddenly plan to go upstair at the 4th floor where HR office is located to asked for supporting papers but unfortunately remember it’s already lunch time… hayyyy… so we are totally ended-up for tomorrow’s plan. juvi is frustrated but thinking again to go up at 19th Floor where her previous account located. she also remembered that she needs to get something with Tine.. as we approach the 19th floor, we ask the guard on duty if Tine Icasiano still there. i came to her and juvi waited outside at the lobby area. i called Tine and Mumai and it WHALA time again. hehehe the girls saw each other and make some chit chats… before conversation last, they called some peers to join and greets juvi’s comeback at the office just to say hi and hello. they missed juvi a lot, specially Tine. they also joked that she’s loss weight but juvi told them that she always eat and sleep all the time. hehehe… we say goodbye for the meantime because we need to go home. juvi tries to call her mom regarding with the check that she have. her mom told us to go to PBCOM Bank located at M.H. Del Pilar Street, Malate Manila. i talked to her mom and asked for other landmarks of the said place. she give me the instructions just go straight heading to T.M. Kalaw Street where Holiday Inn also on that way. but we stock on the traffic for more than 30 minutes because of road renovating… big pipes stock at the center of the road… (maybe manila waters fixing the water outlet on that area.” slogan says:”manila waters, destroying roads near you.”) at last, we reach the bank. juvi entered the bank and in just a few minutes… (i never had finish my cigarette and shes already done… hands with the cold cash!!! (thanks to her mom’s poweful contacts.) she paid all her bills(creditcards, phonebills, car bills.) and just blink of an eye its already gone.. she had enough money to save on that cold cash… but one thing that she notice on her payslip given by the accounting personnel, her salary for the last cut-off was not included on her back-pay, she thinks that the last salary was still on her equitable ATM account but the ATM was already surrendered before she has an exit interview with TP.hayyyyyyyyyy… she plans to call the bank branch to confirm if she still have the money on her ATM account. after we get the money, we give time to each other.. (quality time, cuddle time, @#$%@):P we got home around 7pm getting also the laundries at the laundry shop.. say hello to mama and papa. juvi already check her mails for elance.. and i ate dinner couz i need to go to work at 8pm. say goodbye to my honey and asked her to start studying because she has a mock exam tomorrow morning in preparation for saturday’s exam. here i am now at the office writing this new blog post.. and good news… i had my appraisal in my hands now… whooooo….. whoooo…. at last… thanks to my supervisor TED… yes.. yes… yes… this is a happy day… one new day…! :)
